November 2008

my thanksgiving.

my grandfather’s old folks home food actually turned out to be really good. westminster cantebury has really stepped it up in the food department last i ate there.

it was actually a better meal than most of my past thanksgivings.

i’m really craving some cornpudding right now.

and i’m really tired. i had to wake up and go to church.

i fell asleep in church, and i think i had a sex dream.  does that mean i’m going to hell?

my dad took a picture of me today and thanks to no shave november and my slightly tinted glasses i looked like a cross of the unibomber and an al qaeda terrorist. sweet

i’ll post it later

happy thanksgiving!

turkey day 24 hours early

i’m about to sit down to a delicious turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans and cranberry sauce that my dad and i made.

24 hours early. i’m so happy

after that i’m going to see twilight because apparently i am a 14 year old girl. don’t worry i’m not paying for my ticket, i read a review by someone saying that it’s so bad its good.  i hope that’s the case because i love a terrible movie

oh and the guy who made the music is carter burwell.

my mom thinks we’re some kin or something, i think it’s bullshit. wishful thinking on her part, althought it would be cool to be related to the guy who did the scores for burn after reading, no country for old men, the lady killers, etc.

here’s his filmography

richard

i was in westbury pharmacy waiting to pay for my flu shot and i couldn’t help overhear a conversation between an old man who looked to be late 70’s early 80’s.

he was trying to get his medication and the pharmacist said that the old man, i’ll call him richard (he looked like a richard) could not get it because his health insurance provider wouldn’t pay for it.

now say what you want, but i think it is absurd that anyone, let alone someone from this nation’s greatest generation should be denied the medical attention or prescriptions that they need, no deserve, to be healthy.

i don’t understand it when people say “i wont pay for others to be healthy”.  if i was in richard’s predicament i would absolutely love it if i had universal healthcare.

procrastination revelation

today i woke up realizing just how much ceramics i need to finish.  the end of the semester always sneaks up on me, especially with my clay courses.  sunday is the last day the ceramics department has to work with wet clay.  that means i have today tomorrow and sunday, because i will not be working in the studio on thanksgiving, and friday and saturday i will be in D.C.  i better buckle down.

thanksgiving

on wednesday i will be eating my turkey. i will be eating my stuffing. and i will be eating my cranberry sauce.

on wednesday, not thursday.

because on thursday i will be going to my grandfather’s old folks home to eat thanks giving with old folks. no left overs, and some terrible tasting food. i suppose i should be thankful that there won’t be leftovers.

however until then i will be in class until wednesday at noon. because vcu does not let out for a week like other universities. of course on wednesday i have a class from 9am to 12 pm.  vcu does not let out for thanksgiving until wednesday at noon.

my turntable broke. gotta get a new one of those.

i swear i’m not a downer.

i just want christmas break
